EQUESRTIAN ART

ROBAs part of my saddlery and harness making business I learnt how to use a camerawhen entering into the mail order side of retailing and later contributed to several equestrian magazines including Horse and Hound.   This led me towards me becoming an author and illustrating 6 books for the leading equestrian publishers JA Allen of London.  Drawing the illustrations for the books was the entry point for myself as an artist and this has led me to become a fulltime registered artist here in Ireland.

In addition to selling my paintings I have facilitate many art workshops including Art in Action at Townley Hall, Slane, Ireland's largest art event.  I have filmed a DVD "Paint with Rob" and my "Acrylic Painting" video has had over 150,000 hits on YouTube and been used by the B.B.C. Digital World Service.

I have sold my paintings at many exhibitions including a solo at The Crypt Gallery, St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Trafalgar Square, London and at the prestigious Art Ireland in Dublin.   

My paintings are in collections worldwide and have been bought by the Irish government for the President and Minister of State to present as State Gifts to ambassadors of other countries.
